Escher CMS 0.9.2 Released!

Posted by Sam Weiss on July 02, 2011 | Comments (7) | Permalink

Really excited to announce the availability of Escher CMS 0.9.2. This release has been in the making for the better part of six months, and it significantly enhances Escher with several new features and capabilities. Grab your copy from the Download page. If you are upgrading from version 0.9.0, please be sure to carefully read the release notes included with the package. There are some things to watch out for, including a required change to one of your config files.

I’m planning several blog posts and screencasts discussing the new functionality in this release. In the meantime, please feel free to ask questions and discuss in the comments/forum.

Enjoy!

    Hi,
    did the update from 0.9.0 to 0.9.2. As expected, i can’t login into the admin area. Using the suggested way to request a new one. I got the mail and was able to open the site. But submitting the site gives an ‘500 Internal Server Error’. Any Help?

    Make sure you have updated your admin-config.php and publish-config.php to the latest versions. I suspect you may be missing a required new plugin (SparkHasher). If that fails, check your web server error log for a more detailed error message and let me know what it tells you.

    I did a complete delete of all escher directories and then copied the new version. The only thing i changed was the site-config.php.
    Sorry but i have no log file because this is not available from my hoster :-(

    OK, edit your admin-config.php file and enable error display: ini_set(‘display_errors’, ‘1’);

    That should show you a more detailed error in the browser.

    i did that change but the error page is the same; maybe communication via email is faster (rbri at rbri dot de)

    Hi all,
    just to inform you about the end of the story. Version 0.9.2 works fine. The problem was (and still is) the php environment from my hoster is broken. So i will move my domain to another location in the next weeks.
    And btw. the support for eschercms is great. Sam spends a lot of time to help finding out what was wrong. Many thanks
